First trailer for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' set to premiere in select IMAX theaters on April 20

Warner Bros. has been teasing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice since Comic-Con in 2013 and fans are ready for their first look at the film. Production on the film wrapped in December and post-production will be pushing through until the film is released on March 25, 2016. The studio has released a first look at each of the principal characters (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Lex Luthor), with a brief trailer at Comic-Con 2014 also inciting a fan explosion. Even though the film isn't set to be released for another year, DC needs to start inspiring some confidence in this film, especially after the split opinion over Man of Steel. Well, the time is now, and on Monday, DC and Warner Bros. will be revealing their first look at one of the most anticipated films in history.

After a report from Latino-Review's El Mayimbe rumored that we could be seeing five seconds of the Batman v Superman trailer today, with the full premiere on Monday, it was confirmed by Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. that a major fan event will be occurring in IMAX theaters on Monday, April 20th. A select number of lucky fans will get to see the trailer, as well as some additional footage (the event is rumored to be 15 minutes total). I snagged my tickets for the event last night, and while I am still very skeptical about the film's potential, I'm incredibly psyched to get a look at this film. With a cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jason Momoa, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg, Ray Fisher, Laurence Fishburne, Scoot McNairy, Holly Hunter, Diane Lane and Ezra Miller, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
