One final look at 'Avengers: Endgame' arrives as ticket frenzy commences

This will be a shorter post than usual, but of course, I couldn't go without posting this trailer. So if you haven't watched it a dozen times already, check out the latest "Special Look" for Marvel's Avengers: Endgame below!

With roughly 21 days to go until the conclusion of Marvel's Infinity Saga debuts in theaters, I suppose it's kind of understandable that some fans would have rather avoided some of the big moments showcased in this 60 second clip. Yes, we finally have unmistakable footage of the long-awaited reunion of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), but all of this was pretty much confirmed by set photos and Stark's Quantum suit debut in the last full trailer. We also got our first glimpse at Josh Brolin's Thanos, but was there anyone who really thought he wouldn't have a significant role in this sequel? If anything, the trailer does seem to hint at some interesting differences between the first half and second half of this movie, which even led me to speculate on Twitter that Brie Larson's Carol Danvers may meet a temporary end in a first act shocker. Whatever the case may be, we'll find out very soon.

Today also marked the start of advance ticket sales for Endgame, and let me tell you, I haven't seen anything like this in a long time. I trust Forbes' Scott Mendelson when he says that this is a familiar situation for mega blockbusters, but the only comparable films I can remember are the last two Star Wars saga films, which both featured chaotic pre-sales and lengthy online waits. I was up bright and early today at 8 AM and I didn't even manage to get seats in the dead center; it was a much easier task last year for the first half of this story. We already knew that Endgame was on its way to breaking box office records, but this is an undeniable testament to how much demand was created by the cliff-hanger of Infinity War. Audiences are ready to experience all 182 minutes of this monster. And I'll be right there with them.

Avengers: Endgame opens on April 25th at 6 PM (5 PM, if you're going to the Fan Event). Get those tickets before they're gone.
