Full official 'Captain America: Civil War' cast list revealed, includes Paul Rudd, Paul Bettany and William Hurt

Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron is still destroying box office records in theaters all across the globe, but the studio is already looking ahead to next year's Captain America: Civil War. Despite being the third installment in the Captain America franchise, Civil War will deal with much bigger issues and have a long-lasting effect on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I last wrote about Civil War two days ago when it was revealed that Martin Freeman was joining the cast. Now, with principal photography commencing in Atlanta, Georgia, Marvel has revealed a full press release that goes into details about who will be in this massive blockbuster film.

The press release is a standard studio document, but the necessary details go like this. Captain America: Civil War will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and will star Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johannson (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Emily Van Camp (Agent 13), Daniel Bruhl, Frank Grillo (Crossbones), William Hurt (General Ross), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Martin Freeman. So basically, this movie is Avengers 3. As noted by many outlets, everybody but Thor and Hulk will be appearing in some shape or form in Civil War. With all that cast power, I wonder why they're not just calling it Avengers: Civil War. But still, Civil War will possibly break every record that Age of Ultron sets this summer and I have high hopes that the Russos will blow us away again. Captain America: Civil War will be hitting theaters on May 6, 2016.
