"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" director Francis Lawrence to finish out saga, direct both parts of "Mockingjay"

After director Gary Ross departed the second chapter of The Hunger Games, Lionsgate quickly hired Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) to direct the sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Word has now come out that Lawrence will now direct the two sequels, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2". Even though I am not excited about the two part split, I am excited that Lionsgate has hired Lawrence on for the two sequels. To me, this means that they are happy with what they see and what to keep him on to finish off the saga. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Clafin, Jeffrey Wright and Woody Harrelson are all expected to return. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released on November 22, 2013. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released on November 21, 2014 and Part 2 will be released on November 20, 2015.
