Ridley Scott created two groundbreaking sci-fi films in Alien and Blade Runner. Scott has finally developed a sort of prequel to Alien in Prometheus. Scott has attempted to tell the origins of some aspects in Alien without making a direct prequel. The cast and Scott have repeatedly denied that it is a full prequel to Alien but it looks to have a lot in common with that film. Check out the trailer below.
Scott looks to have created another blend of science fiction and horror in his new film. I was excited and interested but I was also terrified throughout the whole trailer. I can't help but feel that this is the film that Avatar should have been. A groundbreaking, action-packed film that has a great story, great characters, scary monsters, and a real story. I'm super excited about this even though any real plot details are scarce. Prometheus opens June 8 and stars Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Patrick Wilson, and Logan Marshall-Green.
